Abstract: Barbara Wolf Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Berufsförderungswerke Hamburg Zusammenfassung: Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Berufsförderungswerke hat ihre Konzeption grundlegend überarbeitet und dem technologischen Fortschritt und den veränderten Bedingungen des Arbeitsmarktes angepaßt. Neue pädagogische Konzepte berücksichtigen mehr als bisher individuelle Bedürfnisse der Rehabilitanden und fördern deren Fach- Methoden- und Sozialkompetenz im Sinne einer zeitgemäßen ganzheitlichen Rehabilitation. Neue Wege werden beschritten indem die Berufsförderungswerke sich neuen Personengruppen öffnen (z. B. Alleinerziehende) und Rehamaßnahmen auch in ambulanter Form durchführen. Durch Fortbildungsangebote soll sichergestellt werden daß Behinderte stets auf dem aktuellen Stand sind. Die Fachdienste der Berufsförderungswerke auch zukünftig unverzichtbarer Bestandteil der beruflichen Rehabilitation werden sich ebenfalls auf die veränderte Situation einstellen. Ready for 2000 - Federation of German Vocational Retraining Centres Complete Fundamental Revision of Concept: The Federation of German Vocational Retraining Centres have recently completed a fundamental revision and update of their conceptual approach adjusting it to the technological advances at hand as well as to a changing labour market. Novel educational concepts offer broader space for accommodating the needs of individual rehabilitees and for enhancing their competence technical methodological and social in terms of present-day wholistic rehabilitation. New approaches are being implemented the vocational training centres opening up for new groups (such as one-parent families) and offering rehabilitation programmes on a non-residential basis as well. Further-training schemes have been devised to ensure that disabled people too have access to the current state-of-the-art. An indispensable part of vocational rehabilitation programmes also in the future the Specialized Services of the vocational retraining centres are going to adapt to the changing situation as well.
