Abstract: Three sample neuropsychiatric disorders are reviewed: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, Tourette's syndrome and developmental dyslexia. Researchers are finding that genetic causes are important and are suggesting mechanisms in altered brain function and psychopharmacological treatments.
