Facial image comparison of crime suspects using video superimposition

Abstract: The technique of facial image comparison using video superimposition has been used to examine 46 crime suspect cases over a period of two years. The method was found to be extremely useful in selected cases, whilst in a number of others the technique was only of partial help or of little value as identification evidence. The various problems encountered are discussed.
