Die natürliche Killerzellenaktivität als wichtiger Parameter bei Immuntherapien mit Biomodulatoren

Abstract: Our studies demonstrate that the NK-cell-activity represents a crucialfunction in the tumor surveillance and that market dominatingimmunomodulating drugs used in cancer therapy, modulate theNK-cell-activity in vitro and in vivo. The NK-cells of individualpatients respond in a different manner to the immunomodulating drugs.These individual immune responses of the patients are not predictablewith regard to the kind of tumour, the disease progress or the sex ofthe patient. A correct prognosis concerning the effectiveness of animmunomodulating substance is not possible without a specific testing.By measurement of the NK-activity and their modulation through theapplication of immunomodulating drugs the most suitable preparation canbe determined before starting the therapy. The studies of the therapycourse could demonstrate, that the NK-cell-activity of tumour patientsincreases to the standard value under optimal immunotherapy and that theimmunomodulating drugs determined by in-vitro tests also cause astimulation in vivo.
