Stimulation of neutropoiesis by a special standardized mistletoe preparation after cyclophosphamide chemotherapy in mice

Abstract: In-111 satumomab pendetide (Cytogen Corp., Princeton, NJ) (OncoScintCR/OV) planar imaging was performed to detect recurrence of colorectalcancer in an 81-year-old woman. Imaging showed no evidence ofrecurrence. However, an area of increased uptake was noted in the leftthigh. When she was questioned, the patient admitted that she hadself-injected a privately imported medicine intramuscularly to thatarea. The active ingredient was mistletoe, that she believed would curethe colorectal cancer.
