Einfluß der Magnetfeldtherapie durch schwache, schnell veränderliche Magnetfelder auf die Funktion der Kardiostimulationssysteme

Abstract: 21 patients with implantated pacemakers (ages 58 to 83 years) were treated over 5 min with small battery operated pulsating magnetic field devices (Medicur, Metronom, Metronom super pulsrate 0 to 1 kHz, short rise time pulses). The devices were put close to the pacemaker and before and during the treatment ECGs were recorded. No changes in the ECG were observed nor an influence upon the pacemakers. Therefore the treatment with weak pulsating magnetic fields using short rise time pulses is not contraindicated for patients with pacemakers.
