Journal/Book: Allgemeine Homöopathische Zeitung. 1996; 241/4: 155-161.
Abstract: The general practice study was surveying the homoeopathical treatment of all the patients with the symptom "pain of throat" within a previously fixed period of 4 weeks. 11 patients (6 adults, 5 children) were treated with 8 different remedies. In 8 cases the first remedy ended the complains, in 3 cases the second remedy did it. The choice of the remedy was founded only on a few symptoms. Pathognomonic symptoms (redness, swelling, pain on swelling) were not important, in opposite to particular findings (e.g. the conditions of the tongue), special symptoms (e.g. thickling of throat whilst yawning), personal peculiarities (e.g. desire for cold milk, restlessness during night), side relations (left, right) and modalities of time and temperature. This study is meant to be a pilot study for a standard observation method for general practice.
