Betrachtung der Wirkungsweise und Nebenwirkungen von Salicylaten und NSAR

Abstract: For years now salicylates and NSAID's have been used with great success in medicine. Their excellent analgesic, antipyretic, antiphlogistic and antithrombic properties are proven. Nevertheless, the side effects of these substances frequently go unnoticed. If taken for a long period of time, irreparable damage can occur to the patient's ears, eyes, bronchi, stomach and kidneys. Therefore, even if the immediate effects of using salicylates and NSAID's are salutary, very careful consideration should be given to prescribing them for long term therapy.
