Acupuncture in stroke recovery: a literature recview
Journal/Book: Complementary Therapies in Medicine. 1996; 4: 258-263.
Abstract: Acupuncture is commonly used in painful conditions but has a long history of use in traditional Chinese medicine for many other illnesses, including neurological conditions. There is an upsurge of interest in the treatment of hemiplegia by acupuncture and this review investigates the most recent research literature and concludes that there are good grounds for further investigation within rigorous scientific guidelines.
