Dose-dependent palatebility of an Vitex agnus-castus extract

Abstract: In an open, placebo-controlled trial the subjective and objective palatebility of the Vitex agnus-castus special extract BP 1095E1 at different dose-levels was studied in 20 male subjects. They were treated for 14 days with either 120, 240 and 480 mg special extract or placebo respectively. The subjective compatibility was good. The doses tested did not influence the clinical laboratory parameters and especially did not alter the concentrations of the gonadotropins and of testosterone.
