Thymus-Peptide und Zytokine: harmonische Partner im Immungeschehen

Abstract: The thymus gland consists of very communicative cell agglomerations producing chemical substrates as thymus cytokines. Hereby, 2 different groups exist: thymus hormones and thymus interleukines. The thymus hormones have systemic effects. The thymus interleukines, however, are only efficacious inside of the thymus gland by making thymus lymphocytes to functional effector cells. For the immunological response thymus peptides and zytokines are irreplaceable partners. Without them, the communication of the cells being responsable for the defence cannot work. By administration of modern thymus peptide-preparations to patients with "thymus-deficiency", especially, the needed transmitters can be substituted.
