Abstract: Examined the developing relationship between the therapist and a 22-yr-old woman with Crohn's disease treated with music therapy. A music therapy coding system was used for measuring relationship aspects of the therapeutic dyad as expressed in the musical improvisation. Results show the emergence of a congruent picture of the patient and the development of the therapeutic relationship.
