Models of music therapy intervention in stroke rehabilitation

Abstract: The paper provides a review of the literature on music therapy and post-stroke rehabilitation. Clinical approaches, inter-disciplinary aspects and scope for developments are reviewed. The literature demonstrates the rapid evolution of music therapy and the wide range of applications that have been attempted. What is now required is rigorous evaluation by clinical trials to clarify which types of patients and problems are most likely to benefit from different applications.
