Abstract: A systematic description of Clinical Improvisation is set within the context of nonverbal communication and its optimal features, and a model is developed that represents the musical features of communication as well as the communicative features in clinical Improvisation. The chapter ends with a description of an evaluation model that takes the musical/emotional duality into consideration.
