Relationships among language domains in preterm children

Abstract: Measures of performance in phonology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics were obtained from the language samples of 29 preterm children at preschool age. A correlation of .43 was found between measures of phonology and syntax but other significant relationships were not found. Results are discussed relative to other research.
