Journal/Book: International Journal of Arts Medicine. 1995; 4:
Abstract: The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine the effect of music-movement (eurhythmics) as an educational and therapeutic tool on a population of people infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and in various stages of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) related illnesses. Thirty-eight subjects with HlV or AIDS participated in a series of six-week eurhythmic sessions designed to address their physical, mental, emotional, and social needs and to assist in relaxation (stress reduction). Results are based on interviews and observations cross-referenced with the literature.
