Carl Rogers's personality theory and psychotherapy as a reflection of his life experience and personality |
Journal/Book: J Hum Psychol. 1995; 35: 2455 Teller Rd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91320. Sage Publ Inc. 111-128.
Abstract: Carl Rogers shared with other theorists the tendency for his theories to reflect major portions of his life experience and personality. Many interrelationships are identified in this article, in sections on Rogers's (a) life experience, (b) personality, (c) personality theory, and (d) psychotherapy. At the most global level, Rogers's theoretical emphasis on becoming closely resembles an important aspect of how Rogers lived his own life.
