Abstract: The authors discuss the need for hearing conservation programs for various groups of people who are exposed to noise: pilots, fishermen, members of the military, hunters, professional athletes and stadium employees, people involved in hobbies such as car racing and tractor pulls, professional musicians, and youngsters who listen to loud music.
