Ethics of treatment and research in psychiatry |
Journal/Book: Curr Opin Psychiatry. 1995; 8: Old Malthouse, Paradise Street, Oxford, Oxon, England OX1 1LD. Rapid Science Publishers. 340-342.
Abstract: A common theme in many of the articles published this year on ethics in psychiatry has been the difficulties of ethical decision-making. This is especially true when tension is found between the moral claims of patients, and those of third parties. The importance of understanding interpersonal influences on ethical decision-making in psychiatry and the implications for justice will be discussed.
