Abstract: Oxygen regeneration therapy, comprising both IPPB inhalation and oxygen inhalation, has proved particularly worthwhile in pulmonary diseases. This therapy is not only a useful supplement to long-term oxygen inhalation therapy, but is also useful as a monotherapy for numerous other lung diseases such as chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, etc. The technique is relatively simple and the investment quite low with a high efficiency ratio. As with other long-term therapies, close patient monitoring and care are necessary. Thanks to its broad-based combination potential, oxygen regeneration therapy has become an important key therapy in pulmonary therapy; we can only hope that the apparent renaissance will be enthusialstically welcomed by large numbers of physicians in the outpatient sector, since the patient collective is growing by the year.
