Abstract: Valid and complete information on the ground substance is a perquisite for perfect regulation and function. Pathological inforamtion conduction is particualrly apt to occur at very low current levels (40mV) with chemical cell depolarization stimuli in the orofacial area, where 70-80% of the disturbance fields are located. Potential gradients caused by use of different metals and mercury release from (unpolished) fillings as well as effects on the function of the upper cervicla spine (functional chains) are underestimated in most cases.
