Abstract: Objective of this symposium was to take stock of the scientific knowledge on herbal drugs for the treatment of diseases of the bileduct, to define parameters for the pharmaceutical quality of bile remedies, to present methods for pharmacological studies and clinical trials for the assessment of efficacy.
