Music therapy in ICU

Abstract: This paper provides an overview of the benefits of using music therapy in intensive care. Music therapy is described as a complementary therapy and can be used to complement more conventional and medically oriented treatments available to patients who are critically ill. The physiological and psychological effects of this intervention are discussed.
