Journal/Book: Art Psychother. 1994; 21: The Boulevard, Langford Lane, Kidlington, Oxford OX5 1GB, United Kingdom. Pergamon-Elsevier Science Ltd. 359-365.

Abstract: Presents a case study of music therapy with a 17-yr-old male S who was blind, deaf, severely mentally handicapped, and partially paralyzed. The therapist began by matching music and percussion to the S's breathing. He was totally passive at first, but after 2 yrs began to develop his own body language in response to the piano. After 3 yrs it was clear that the S could hear, and he began to reach out to the therapist and to make vocalizations.
