Houseplant toxicities

Abstract: In all plant exposures an attempt should be made to identify the plantand the parts involved. Many common parts are nonpoisonous and notreatment will be required. The expertise of the regional poison controlcenter should be sought early. Fortunately, for most houseplantexposures, symptomatic therapy is adequate. If there is any question ofa significant exposure to a toxic plant, hospital observation is alwaysprudent.
