Dermatomyositis

Abstract: The paper describes the long term treatment of a patient with clinically proven Dermatomyositis. Due to the previous immunsuppressive treatment and because of insufficient individual symptoms the correct choice of remedy was very difficult. Therefore therapy was done carefully initiated as follows: first, Ignatia was given (paralysis after emotions); the second treatment was with potentized blood of the patient (previous immunsupressive treatment); followed by Kalium nitiricum as indicated by the picture of toxicology ( muscular paralysis and spasms). After this last remedy a significant amelioration of the disease took place. The dysphagi (port of the disease) did not ameliorate until Causicum was prescribed. The later increase of the spasms required Plumbum. In the final treatment of ths case Nux moschata was used as the last remedy. (The senstation of dysphagia after anger and grief had returned.)
