Abstract: In the following series of articles I will try to provide some insight into the situational materia medica (SMM), a theoretical-philosophical concept of understanding disease and remedies, as was recently developed by Rajan Sankaran. This part tries to present a way of how to get insight in the "state of disposition" of a remedy as well as a patient.
