Abstract: The Microbiological Therapy is defined as the oral and parenteral administration of living and/or dead microbes and/or their components for therapeutical purposes. The following short summary about the mechanism of action and the elements of the Microbiological Therapy and its possibilities for the treatment of inflammatory intestinal diseases is intended to show, that it is possible and useful to use such an immunomodulating, probiotic form of treatment as an alternative or a valuable addition to the common therapeutical measures.
