Abstract: The relation between the common cold and chronic diseases is demonstrated.Two hypotheses will be illustrated by several case reports:1 . Attacks of chronic diseases often begin immediately after infections of the respiratory tract,2. A long period without acute respiratory infections often precedes the coming out of a chronic disease.In many cases the Chinese method of diagnosis is able to decode such seemingly invisible early stages of diseases.'Me Chinese treatment is successful especially in those cases, where the rigor of the defence system can be broken.
