Abstract: On the basis of psychotherapy practice in the psychotherapy and psychosomatic department of a general hospital, Schwabe's regulative music therapy (RMT) is presented as the core of a symptom-centered group psychotherapy concept with in-depth psychology orientation. The main effective factors of RMT, the essence of individual-centered symptom-oriented psychotherapeutic intervention, therapeutic practice, and results are discussed. (author)
