Journal/Book: ONS Nursing Scan in Oncology. 1993; 2: 10.
Abstract: SYNOPSIS: To evaluate the ability of music to alter the perception of chronic pain, researchers asked 30 women with rheumatoid arthritis to complete the McGill Pain Questionnaire before, during, and 2 hours after listening to 20 minutes of favorite music. Results indicated that pain threshold significantly increased during and at 2 hours after the music intervention. [Original article accession number: 1993170668 (research)]
