Laterality for music perception in musicians, mathematicians, and dancers: jumping to conclusions

Abstract: Group differences for ear asymmetries for a melodies task were reported for talented music, mathematics, and dance students. Evidence is presented that it is premature to conclude that these group differences were the result of specialized training in their areas of expertise.
