Abstract: Two case studies. The individuation processes are understood in a Jungian perspective, i.e. as integration of shadow and anima-animus. The efficiacy of GIM as a fascilitator of this proces is shown through the cases. In case A the client's imagery is greatly influenced by archetypal figures: Queen of Light (higher self), Merlin, Cassandra, King Athur, Lancelot and Guenevere (like her marriage) - later Oedipus, medea and Cassandra in Corinth. It is shown how the client works through "a) memories of being physically abused, b) confronting the madnes in her family ... c) she identifies with positive fem. figures and with positive masculine 'hero' figures, d) she started building a new house (identity) for herself..." In a second series of sessions subpersonalities (aspects of self) emerged: four femal sub-pers. (The playful inner child, Anita; Faiblesse, the presexual adolescnet (like 'a wooden doll'); Carmen, the sexual adult; The higher self) and one male (August, the dancer). In one session she draws a stage 7 mandala (The functioning ego; Kellogg) integrating the four - and teh next day she passes an advanced piano exam. Case b. Mary:
