Abstract: In our society the health policy is of great importance. The health system has become a cost factor of first order. As long as it is not succeeded in getting politicians, physicians and the people to develop a really new understanding and an actually new programme with respect to health strategy which will distinctly change the habits and behaviour of the people the problems will remain undissolved. New impulses for health policy migat be derived from a reseval of the medical science which had been developed by the classical Hippocratical dietetic.
