Abstract: From the view of nutrition science, immunology and psychology mother's milk is outstanding compared with artificial nutrition. Therefore breastfeeding always should have priority. But also mother's milk is spoiled with pollutants. Women who intend breastfeeding for a longer period than 6 months, should be adviced to have a check of their milk for pollutants. A differential diagnosis of homeopathic remedies for problems during the breastfeeding period is shown. Problems may occur as cracked nipples, pain during nursing and inflammation of the breast.
