Pitfalls in acupuncture research

Abstract: In a time when value for money is the driving force in health care, there is a need for physiotherapists to evaluate what they do. My introduction to research came as part of a BPhil in Complementary Health Studies, based at the University of Exeter. This was the first degree of its kind in any European university.This article outlines the problems that were encountered while undertaking the research-based dissertation. It may be of help to other researchers beginning in this field.
