Abstract: An expert of the subject gives a survey of the development of acupuncture from Stone Age up to the present practice in China and the Western World. Via the theory of meridians she comes to the examination and the making of a diagnosis for the acupuncture therapy with the basic inclusion of the western diagnosis.Mrs. Professor Yu Jin gives practical tips about handling the needles, about possible complications and she shows other methods of acupuncture. She explicitly presents acupuncture in the field of gynaecology and obstetrics, including endocrinological facts.The colleagues working as gynaecologists are given hints and help for the therapy of gynaecological problems.
