Beziehungen zwischen intestinaler Mikroflora und Hauerkrankungen am Beispiel von Psoriasis und Neurodermitis

Abstract: Psoriasis and Atopic dermatitis can be influenced via the gut. It could be shown that the faeces of these patients were colonized with Yeasts (mostly Candida albicans) in a high percentage. Furthermore age-dependant presence of specific Candida-IgE in patients with Atopic Dermatitis was demonstrated. In children Candida-IgE was found in 16%, in adults in 64%. These findings indicate that a persistant colonization of the gut might result. in a higher probability of an allergic response against C. albicans. Treatment with. Nystatin over a longer period (maybe months!) in addition with following regeneration of the physiological flora of the gut showed convincing results.
