Abstract: Breathing is a function that lasts for life. lt can be experienced and perceived and words alone cannot fully express its significance.Breathing the right way brings about clarification, new steadiness and a widening of self-awareness into the entirety of the human being. He becomes more healthy and can cope with disease.Respiratory dysfunctions are identified and breathing is brought back to its own rhythm. The body becomes supple and is able to let the respiratory movement pass freely. This stimulates blood circulation and vitality.Breathing the right way is helpfull in everyday life. Simply applying and modifying what has been practised is conducive to the constitution as a whole. Proper breathing brings relaxation and calmness to the person practising. Breathing in a balanced rhythm gives rise to a transparent and strong composure. Breathing, concentrating and feeling is work going on in the deeper layers of man. By way of breathing he can find his way to himself.The four basic elements of working on one's respiration are:expanding; using pressure spots; exercises for the creation of vocal spaces; breathing coordinated with movement.The above-mentioned areas are not separate from but interwoven with each other. They enable the person exercising to concentrate better and they promote his emotional capacities by breathing deeply. This method can uncover and promote talents. lt helps to become more independent and build up new strength. lt is both a cure and an art. By way of breathing correctly we can increase our awareness.Perceptible respiration somewhere between the conscious breathing technique and the subconscious respiratory function is a means of self-fulfillment and selfconfidence.
