Voruntersuchungen zur Sauerstoff -Kohlensäure-Mehrschritt-Kur nach M. von Ardenne (SKMK)

Abstract: The effect of CO2 an the perfusion of the skin with respect to the CO2 concentration and simultaneous raising of the temperature has been investigated by means of laser-Doppler measurements. The investigation showed a synergism of CO2 and raised temperature with skin temperatures below 39 °C. With higher skin temperatures any through CO2 calorically induced hyperaemia was not further increased From the dependency of the hyperaemia causing effect of CO2 an the concentration of this gas and other findings and which dependency in a wide range is linear it can be derived that CO2 concentrations in the range up to approximately 20 vol. % only result in a minimal and hardly significant increase in the perfusion of the skin.
