Zur Toxikologie von Germanium-Präparaten

Abstract: The compatibility and harmlessness of the germanium complex preparation Sanumgerman® have been examined in comprehensive experimental toxicological investigations. The results are compared with those obtained with other germanium preparations. Apart from the acute and chronic toxicity of the examined germanium compounds their influence an the fertility of rats as well as the mutagenic, embryotoxic and teratogenic activity has been determined. In a study accompanying the therapy Sanumgerman® has been investigated at volunteers with regard to its toxic effect an the kidneys. In all investigations no toxic effect could be demonstrated.
