Auswirkungen von Umweltgiften und anderen exogenen Noxen auf Mikroökologie und Immunologie des Gastrointestinaltrakts

Abstract: Exogenous noxious compounds may be of biological, chemical or physical origin. When affecting the gastrointestinal tract, they may not only induce direct lesions of the gut epithelia, but also provoke disturbances of the intestinal microecological system or of the gut-associated lymphoid tissue. Disturbances of intestinal microecology are often accompanied by disturbances of the gut microflora. Noxious compounds from the environment may lead to different diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, e.g. infectious diarrhoea, inflammatory bowel diseases, maldigestion and malabsorption syndromes, radiogenic colitis or colon cancer.
