Abstract: Natural science in the classical Chinese sense does only know one universal natural law: the Tao. Within the circular process of change of the Tao there are five phases of change as basis of the energetic holistic thinking. These five phases of change are at first described in terms of analogy, thereafter related to five performances of artistes exhibited in a circus. With all five parts of the Tao being present in the spectator a feeling of harmony arises through holism.
