Observations concerned with the application of music therapy and children with special needs

Abstract: Our work with music and children with special needs began in 1964. Following six years observation of different categories of children, the following cirtea were established as the basis for further work: (a) Reactions to stimuli of musical elements; rhythm, melody, intensity, pitch, speed and tone colour. (b) Effect of music on the behaviour of the child. (c) The musical ability of the child and possibilities for achievement in music. This paper will be published by the BSMT late 1992, price on application.
