Adolescent narcissism and ego regression: An art therapy case illustration

Abstract: Presents a case illustration of art therapy with a 14-yr-old male admitted for residential treatment due to behavioral and emotional disturbances. The case is suggestive of the manifestation of narcissism and ego regression. The S's artwork and his therapist served as self-objects that helped nourish his inner self and emotional needs and promote personal growth.
