Cultivation of Hop in Germany

Abstract: The brewing hop (Humulus lupulus) is a cultivated plant. Cultivation of the various types of hop needs loving care and requires comprehensive knowledge of the hop-farmer. In Germany hop has been cultivated for more than 1000 years. Growing and harvesting conditions are described.
