Psyche und Immunsystem

Abstract: Psychosomatic thoughts have been given a new impetus by research in the field of immunology during the last years. By progress in laboratory technology (e. g. flow cytometry) it has been possible to present experimental evidence concerning the connection between psyche and immunological system. A leading Position in this case has the field of psychoneuroimmunology.On the anthroposophical and anthropological basis, the unclear term, psyche' is put more concrete. lt is possible to show the tripartite function of man with the help of the immunocompetent cells which are active in the humoral area of the body called 'biological self'. In the normergetic condition as well as in the pathological dysfunctions of the hyperergia, hypergy and anergy, also characteristics of the four temperaments can recognized. Examples for the role of the personality profile in the modern immunology are described. Therefore not only general hints, as for example susceptibility to infection by feelings based on unpleasure (herpes labialis) are illustrated by experiments, but concrete interactions of a specific experience with very specific cells of the immunological system. (despair: increase of the B-lymphocytes; orientation only according to performance: changes in the T-suppressor cells etc.)The significance of the analysis of the personality can not be separated from an analysis of the culture. In addition to the environmental pollution which everybody is aware of today, it is necessary to make the people also aware of the pollution of the internal environment, which has been hardly noticed so far (J. Lusseyran: "Gegen die Verschmutzung des Ich" Against the pollution of the self). Conclusions - especially due to the enormous increase of the hyperergias from the habits of thinking and processes of knowing, which are characterized by misguidance and false reactions, of the modern people are implied.
