Abstract: After a short introduction in methods of temperature measurement the dynamics of acral temperature reaction (ATR) of acupuncture was reconsidered by different temperature registrations.Measuring was done by means of one contact thermometer and two infrared thermometers. As expected, temperature values were found on different levels with different thermometers. However, dynamics of temperature changes were equal and time curves of temperature of each instrument showed parallel lines. The phenomenon of acral temperature reaction can be registrated with any thermometer of sufficient accuracy and measuring speed. ATR is again described by help of statistical analysis of 57 measurements. Acupuncture point LI$ was stimulated by three modalities (needle, stipuncteur, brush-test) and registration intervall of temperature was 30 seconds. A significant decrease of temperature during the first 90 seconds was observed. After that the temperature raises again until 270 seconds after start. Highest temperature amplitueds were seen after stimulation by the needle. The temperature change between 150 and 210 seconds was significantly higher after needling that after electric stimulation. A similar significant difference could be detected between needle group and brush-test at time 180 to 270 after stimulation.
