Akupunktur-Therapie bei Erkrankungen des Hals-Nasen-Ohren-Gebiets

Abstract: Acupuncture, being a regulative therapy, is very suitable for treatment of ENT- diseases, particularly of functional disorders as they occur nowadays with often atypical and psychologically superimposed symptoms. To the author's opinion, acupuncture is superior to any other way of therapy in the case of sinusitis. This implies that the functional link of the mucous membranes of the respiratory system (as represented in the lung meridian) and of the colon system (as represented in the large intestine meridian) are taken into consideration and if specific upperjaw retromolar points of oral acupuncture are treated; if necessary also an additional treatment of the colon microflora ("Symbioselenkung") ought to be included. But many other ENT- disorders - acute, chronic, and allergic -, as well as vertigo and headaches of various etiology respond well to acupuncture.
