Folsäuremangel in der Schwangerschaft |
Journal/Book: Ärztezeitschrift für Naturheilverfahren. 1992; 33/7: 577-579.
Abstract: An insufficient folic acid supply of many groups of people makes the current recommendations with respect to this supply uncertain. The reasons are mainly to be seen in the bad bioavailability from food. Pregnant women are a particular risk group. Their requirement - at almost unchanged supply - is considerably increased. As a result the serum and erythrocyte contents decrease during gravidity and this is brought into connexion with various complications during pregnancy. Especially in case of risk pregnancies a medicinal supplementation should therefore be performed. With such a supplementation attention has to be paid to a good uptake of the folic acid from the applied product by the body. A very good bioavailability has been demonstrated for Folgamma°.
